that night, matthew and me played bball together. this time was special. we played with an plder uncle, who didn't look like he's from Singapore. i guess Philippines maybe. he played proly. he played 1-to-2 with us. he mostly made 3-pointers! matt and i could only look at each other in surprise at the wonders that this man could do. super cool! we played total of 3 games. we two won 2 games and him only 1. later he had to go and thanked us for the great game that night. he was a friendly chap. always smiling. he also gave us high-fives after every single game we played (regardless of whether he won or lost) and encouraged us after every failed shot we had. it was really fun to see and play with new people in the court. after that dude's left, we called for the other younger guy that was playing, all the while from just now, by himself to play a game with us. he was also a foreigner- cambodian. he looked pretty cute. i think a lot of cambodians are handsome, except that they're short. i also recognised that he was my neighbour from 13th floor. so coincidental! so after many questions, i learnt that he is currently studying in singapore. somewhere at raffles place. so he could not really talk english fluently. however, we continued to play regardless of the language barrier. he was not shy at all though. throughout the game, he was so active, trying to snatch matt's ball and passing it to me since we're from the same team. matt was like playing monkey in between us. lol! poorthing~ the guy's friendly too. kept smiling all the way~ and he has got this stylo beard on his chin too. lol! trying to be like samson?!? haha. not indonesian. probably some other cambodian idol. =D
panu finally didn't meet his Friendster friend. a singaporean monk who intended to stray in Thailand next time. he was at first not afraid to meet the dude. but this morning, he changed his mind. because he was afraid that the guy might be gay. ahaha!
went for a Major Shopping spree again today. thanks for the SMS which i received this morning, from Esprit. it read: New Year Special! Sinply walk in & win attractive delas of up to 18% off! Members get additional 8% off such deals! Now on till 17 Feb. T& C apply. although i didn't understand the last sentence, but i perfectly understood what is going on! mum was at centrepoint highlighting her hair red in the usual saloon which she goes to everytime. so i immediately forwarded the message to mum and added mi, pergi!! after the message. she called me after that. and after explaining everything to her, we decided to go visit Esprit today. mum is clever! duh. Esprit! who is stupid enough to not go for it?? i mean Esprit clothes were cool! and 26% is definitely a LOT!!! XD when i told lyn about it, she too was in high spirits! we flagged for the taxi to centrepoint, together with erica. met mum at the undergarments section. since there's an offer going on, mum allowed me to buy the lingeries for australia there. i bought quite a handful. that was how the shopping spree began. but it's still not the Best yet! after that, we came to the shoes department. there were so many peeple there,browsing and trying out shoes after shoes. finally after many careful and lucky finds, i managed to buy 2 black high-heeled shoes for John Robert Power. one was a bit too tight though. but we bought it nonetheless. before we paid at the cashier, i tried on this lovely red blouse on and i simply loved it. so after mum tried her own clothes, we paid for everything, including the red thing. (= next, we came into 7-eleven. bought lollipop for each of us. sucked it all the way to Food Chain. ate my fav chicken rice there. and bubble tea! (= we were so full after that. and we decided that a walk to Madarin Hotel would be perfect to bring the food down. saw this dance performance by three girls. the middle one did a very good belly dance, while the other two seemed like they're crazy and was about to go for a dip in the pool! we kept on laughing non-stop seeing them dance. and there were many people gathered around them. even people crossing the road were captivated by them! but not all though. some were too afraid of getting knocked down by a careless driver on the road. (nah. that's just a joke! how would i know what they're really thinking?) soon, we entered the cool and breezy clothes store. i could instantly feel an air of SALES IN PROGRESS across the room. LOL! XD there were exceptionally large number of guys and girls around. some were rushing here and there, like us later. some were in the fitting room, while their boyfriend or husbands were outside waiting patiently for their girls to come out with an outfit that will make them hold their breaths. (= the cashiers were running busy, scanning the barcodes of the clothes that customers were carrying in their hands. people climbed up and down the stairs to the second floor to look at more clothes/accesories that wanted the customers to bring it home so badly. me myself tried to have at least a look at all the clothes available there. and in total, after taking clothes after clothes form the shelves of both 1st and 2nd floor, mum swiped her credit card for $370+ of purchase, after the CNY and membership discounts. we were so happy after that. mainly me, i guess. love the clothes i bought! super super a lot!!! XD thanks mum once again for all! what can this world be w/o you? (=
at the taxi queue in front of mandarin hotel, i saw S.H.E.! yep. those taiwan singers! they're inside a bus, approaching the front of the hotel. however, i did not get to see what happened after that because we were already leaving in our own taxi. but i reckon that they will surely have body guards and all to protect them from fans screaming or paparazzis struggling to get an interview with them. lolx. i was just so shocked to see hebe and ella inside! out of all people! 2 celebrities!!! wow~ what a day! mum actually asked me to wave at her. --' eee... for what? i didn't even like or idolise them. and i will eb only embarrassing myself if they didn't see me wave to them from outside their vehicle. then the indian family, behind us in the queue, would probably think that i'm mad because they obviously were not told of the famous girls yet. but i did not get to see selena though. maybe she's seating at the other side of the bus? lolx.
at home, lyn found out that one Tee i bought was of the wrong size. instead of M, i took the XL one. but when i tried it on, it was comfortable in a way so we decided not to change it back the next day at Esprit. mum also said that it wasn't worth the taxi money that will be spent for the trip there. so me and mum are going to share the blouse. because it fits her nicely too! XD hooray!~
