oh my my! the Delirious Band just gets better and better every time they come. (=
the preaching was not bad today. interesting. pastor kong wasn't there, and so pastor ye peng had to take over him. he continued the culture mandate series that pastor kong had shared last week. the big thing was how he brought up the New Singaporean from the Old Singaporean. it's definitely useful for those who want to impact the society for Lord Jesus.
Old SINGAPOREAN:
S- selfishness
I- indolence
N- nett taker
G- gullible
A- arrested in thinking
P- problems
O- opportunity-seeking
R- rigidity
E- empty-handed
A- apathetic
N- narcissistic
and better read on... because this is then the most important of all.
New SINGAPOREAN:
S- SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE
I- INNOVATIVE
N- NETT GIVER
G- GLOBALISED
A- ADVANCED
P- PROBLEM SOLVER
O- OPPORTUNITY-SEEKING
R- RESILIENT
E- EDUCATED
A- ADAPTABLE
N- NATION CONSCIOUS
but is this only applicable for Singaporean? can it be used for other citizens, like Indonesian for instance? so when pastor ye peng told everyone to say to neighbouring people 'be the new singaporean', i felt so weird. as if only the singaporean had help around. as for indonesian- gone case. boohhooohhoo.
okie. so the delirious did not end their concert on time. not that they wasted time not singing or anything. but they performed more songs than they planned to. when pastor told the church that we could be dismissed, some people from the crowd wooed loud. soon, everyone was seen cheering for Delirious to continue performing more songs for us. man! the singer is so handsome. he got a charming smile with him. and his voice? WOW! the extra songs they played seemed to be better than the first few songs. so much emotion! and energy, vibe from the congregation. people were jumping like nobody care. so awesome! in total, they played 3 extra songs for us! cool huh? that's because we love delirious. and they felt our love for them. (=
dad and mum came too. when i asked dad about the service today, all he talked about was the band. HAHA! he told me that it's even better than the Eric Clapton concert he watched last night, together with mum. mum also said that dad jumped during the songs. so COOL!
went to paragon for lunch after that. it was raining. again.
ate at the Soup chinese restaurant. dad ordered this menu especially for 4 person. and it only cost $78! that's so cheap for a sumptious meal like what we had. when i left, i could feel my tummy expanding or something. oh no! means more weight to my body...
vivienne offered us 2 free tickets to Death Note 2 today. but too bad, church ended later than usual. so we couldn't make it. it's alright. hope rayland buy the pirated Deatch Note 2! so we can watch!
