today was like a SUPER fun time spent together as a family.
probably this is the best CNY celebration ever! it's so eventful! (= love it!
started out the day with panic. i woke up at 9.15! (the ceremony at my house was supposed to start at 9.30am) luckily, i was fast at bathing and getting changed. mum and kakak had lay out lontong over the dining and living room area. all was longtong! LOL! 4ever our custom dish.
not a single family came (only ming2 bcuz he lives nearby only--') when it was 9.30am. so lyn and i decided to cook indomie goreng to fill up our hungry stomachs. however, we were too late. when the food was ready, the doorbell rang. it was sicek's family! the two of us quickly grabbed our plates and hid inside our bedroom. i swallowed almost all of the noodles up without proper chewing. then all of a sudden, the door burst open and ce fen2, sen2 and we2 appeared inside. what bad timing! i had noodles hanging outside my mouth and hair still in rollers right then! embarrassing! but who cares? cousins!~ (= then later, they watched us eat and stayed in the room while the adults talked outside among themselves and also at the same time, watching televison. soon, everyone else came and all of us girls (tin, sen, fen, pris and lyn) turned my room into our preparation room. we fixed our make-up there together. it was a definitely bonding moment for every one of us. XD then pris told us a very sad thing: ama's gonna give us only 60 bucks this year because she forgot how much she gave last year. argh! after that, all of us were so worried about the fulfilment of our church building fund. shocked! --'
soon after all was ready, ako told us to go outside to start the teong hee ceremony. it felt so different, without ko tatan, ko jeffry and ce alin. there were lesser and lesser of us each time we had chinese new year. )= soon, next year, pris and i will not be here. 2 more cousins gone! woah! really very little people left peeps! chinese new year will never be this merry again~ after that, we had photo-taking together. smiles~ (= and then we ate lontong together inside the study room, where the boys were playing computer games inside. (they'd turned it into a mini cyber cafe!) ce fen2 said we looked like we're inside a refugee camp, packed inside that tiny room. haha. then, we went back into my room to count the ang baos we received. excitement filled the air. tensing silence. finally, someone broke, saying, ' Ah ma give $200!!!' woah then almost instantaneously, we gave a huge sigh of relief! haha. God is good! he knows we need to fulfil our building funds tt's why! haha. hallelujah!
next, we went to visit auntie at her house. but pris was afraid to come because of the past misunderstanding and feud that she used to have with auntie. so in the end, tin, angel and ce fen stayed with her downstairs while the rest of us, together with our mothers, came up to the house. she gave us girls each $20, x2 (DOUBLE) the boys'! whoppee!~
later, we followed ah ma and akong to visit their friends in Singapore. sacek drove us around. sacim tagged along too. together there's nine of us going. the car was pretty squeezy in the middle. of course! with my fatness~ LOL! ok. maybe it's not totally my fault. ah ma too! haha! XP the first house we visited had this channel 5 actress inside! but i couldn't recognise her, but she did ring a bell inside my head. total collected: $14
the second house was of a very aged-old building. something like dutch kind of house. we took lots of photos together by the swing, tiny door and the bedroom. kept as memories! XD total collected: $8
third house was a beautifully-designed house, with modern furnitures around the room. it was a garden-house as told by the lady owner. the scenery outside the living room was breath-taking! (= love the house! oh, we also saw a handsome, polished man coming into the house before we left. too bad he's MARRIED! with a pretty wife and cute little junior boy! haha. total collected: $26
fourth house was pretty unlucky! however, this house offered most food than the rest. ferrero rocher! all kinds of nuts. sweets. cookies. sen received $4 more than the rest of us. so lucky! hoki! (= total collected: $6
so, overall, we collected a sum of $54! XP
not bad for strangers...
