terence asked me down so that we could all find ben ho to return us our loaned money back. but we called and called his hp number and yet, he did not answer it. instead, someone else's voices came, muffled, after the dialtones. the guy was somewhere on the train, i could tell by experience. and when i asked for ben ho, he simply said that he didn't recognise anyone by the name of that and then hung up. this did not just happen at the first time but at the second and third and fourth and the fifth time also. furthermore, i could also hear gigglings at the background of the receiver. terence tried calling too, but for his case, no one answered it. both of us were left frustrated and feeling very manipulated by him and the stupid pranks that he played on us all these time. it was th final straw for terence because he couldn't take such stupid jokes anymore from ben ho. so, we met at the bbq pit and talked about it. i went to get the bbq booking form while terence was on his way there. then together we stormed to ben's front lawn but later we decided that it's better if we made appearance at his front door instead. and we turned around and pressed for the doorbell. it didn't ring... for how long had it been like that for? terence knocked on the door real hard because when i knocked no one came. this time, an older auntie walked towards us, with a house phone clasped in between her shoulder and head. she seemed pretty shocked to see us all (with val at the time who happened to walk past us at the bbq pit area). when we told her of why we came, she questioned us a lot about ben ho and told us that ben ho was given money everytime. so he shouldn't be borrowing money from his friends by right. so she kept on telling and telling and we could only nod our heads in understanding. she told us to come back at 7.15pm or so. we all went home respectively and then meet up again at the bbq by that time. i made the bbq pit reservation for this sunday before that. panu was walking towards the bbq pit too. terence told him to, he said. so the three of us, plus terence, walked towards ben's house. terence asked me to knock because he didn't dare to right then. scary cat! then the most fearful thing happened.
i peeked into the narrow opening of the front door. i saw ben ho standing, pretty frozen, in front of the couch, with both his hands kept behind his back. i knew it was not a good sign but i still plucked up the courage and go for that knock on that door. it was not what i expected. an uncle appeared at the door with eyes staring out, like a goldfish. he was obviously ben's father. i told him straight-to-the-point as to why i came when he asked. man! you should have seen the look on his face when i finished with my explanation. his face twisted into a furious expression as he called for ben ho to come forward. and ben ho was so obedient right there and then! wow! but his face was so pale. it's as if he'd met with his dealth penalty or sth like that today. after many questions from his father, the uncle finally gave me the $16 that i needed. then as for panu's lost ball (LOL!), the $10. but terence was not given his $7 and we didn't know why. hmm. i could tell that ben ho's father and grandmother were really disappointed and ashamed of him today.
i went back home for dinner and only came down after that. terence asked me to come so that he could show me ben's threatening messages to him, which he think was of no sense and rather offensive (because terence think that he's not in the wrong but ben was). i read it and felt really lucky that ben ho did not send me a similar message like that too. and that would be so freaking scary! we played cards all the way, up til 10 o'clock. valerie, shi han, tin (she came for her undies) and wq came to join us too to study. i helped val with her physics revision as when i could. lol! she really needed help there! haha. the reflection and refraction chapter sure reminded me of secondary school life again~ those days were the best! =D missing it so much!
amy called today to tell me that i ought to get packed soon. because in two weeks time, i'm going to australia already! argh! so soon! so i asked her to help me request for bachelor of medicine for april intake, and she said that she'll try. as for the bachelor of commerce, it's settled alr. argh! i am so nervous about my life there.
