God's unconditional love~

"Do you love me?"

"I don't know..."

"That's fine. Cause God still loves me."

1st FUN week of mid-semester holiday!

the joy of holidays is hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. it has been going on for the past one week actually.

everyone else is busy with the holidays. some take this time to revise on the subjects that they're left behind. some spent it just by lazily sleeping at home. some explore suburbs. some went to places of attraction with friends and family. some even went back home to their country. me? i basically go with the flow. i didn't even plan on doing anything at first. a friend of mine Anzela even dragged me along to form a 'library club' together with her starting the first day of holiday. however, as predicted, the plan failed. i guess we were being too ambitious then. oh well.

so actually our term holiday started last last friday night? i went to cell that night and ilona was leading worship. after Anthony shared the message for the week, we split into groups and i was with Nysia, Ilona, Roselyn and Arwin. many of us didn't plan to go at first, but we realized that if we didn't go, we'd feel tired for the entire week. like there's no refreshments or time for reflection for that week. so oh boy! were we glad to have come that night! also, we ate Hainan Chicken together at Ilona's place. yummmmm~ which after, we celebrated Jin Sern's bday and then executed the mini solo 'amazing race' for Tito's bday. it was so fun that night following him guess the clue for the next station. haha. and i am sure he's so glad to see Sheilla at the end of that 'race'. (= wee! such lovely couple they are.

on that saturday, we went Cauldfield to support our church guys in their soccer friendly match. we girls actually wanted to play bball. unfortunately, noone booked the court and so, we ended up watching the guys play. we also managed to play a game of soccer ourselves when one of the courts were left empty. soccer is really hard for me. i wasn't able to stop the ball quick enough anf kick it to my ggroup members. we were kicking the ball all over the place. chaos i tell you. so many of the girls' shoes were flying high up in the air as they kicked the ball. HAHAHA. after the game, we ate at Dessert House and then watched Wall-E together. it was a fun day indeed.

that sunday, i brought my brother and my china friend Tahnee to Assembly of God in Richmond. we were late for an hour and sat at the 'Parents with trams' section. so basically it's all parents with their babies and toddlers sitting around us. [whatt?!?!?] i know i know. we are so out of place. tahnee had to use the toilet at Flinders Station and Eric and I bought ChocoChurros. no surprise we were so late. oh well. after that, we were starving and Tahnee suggested that we eat Vegetarian food at Boxhill. it turned out to be much better than i thought it's going to be. i almost converted into a vegetarian that day. but Tahnee said that it's better to stay as what i am. then i am able to enjoy everything!

more of holidays

20.6.08
hmm. what did i do on friday??? oh. maybe i went Cotton On & Body with my housemate? yeah. most probably. shopped for a white pyjamas t-shirt that says 'I LOVE SLEEP'. bought a bright pink sweater that i still don't know when i will wear and a long sweatpants meant for gym. at night, i went for cell group. that day was special. firstly, i was late. because i had not been attending cell group for two weeks. so i stopped at the wrong tram stop and had to circle around the city. if someone was watching me then, i am sure i would have looked stupid. in the end, i was 30 minutes late after remembering where the right stop was. i took the tram thrice before finally reaching Flinders House. when i entered ci elena's house, the room was in total darkness except for some candle littings. ko rio was praying. so that means i missed praise and worship. sigh. but at least i made it to the right place. (= after cell, we had dinner together and home sweet home.
21.6.08
hmm...what did i do? saturday saturday. doesn't ring a bell at all. argh! did i stay home and rot? most probably.
22.6.08
church! it was my turn to usher. with stanley, sally, valerie and roselyn. as usual, with Sally around, it was noisy. but she did try to make an effort to lower down her volume. hahaha! she's so funny. always talking so much. like a rifle. anyway, after church, some of the girls, ronny and jonnie, and i went to eat at '?'. a korean restaurant as far as i remember. gracia, cherry, valerie and i shared our food. it was nice catching up with them.

the hol-i-days

18.6.08
cleaned my hse. finally.
the house became so different afterwards. it's like there's more space than before. i felt so proud to see the living room floor so clean and dry. so free from worksheets and such. it's more like a home now. not like a library or rubbish dump anymore. the fruitflies had all gone. not that the fruitflies were always there. anyway, after so, fui han helped me to vacuum my room upstairs while i clear the worksheets and bits of waste paper on the carpet. within an hour or so, my room seemed so much more like a room and not an office. i am starting to love my room in a way that i never have before. hmm. so tidying the room every now and then is a good thing... why didn't we do this earlier??? sigh~ if so, then my cell group don't have to see my untidy place on my birthday. i also dumped all the white clothes that i could find lying around my room into the washing machine. that day was indeed a small experience in becoming a housewife. SO TIRING!!!
19.6.08
i went out with anzela and walla for lunch at Ajisen-Ramen. azmina was supposed to join us but in the end, she did not turn up. that was the first time i had lunch with walla even though we know each other from trinity. ckckck. so many more friends that i've never hung out with. after that wonderful lunch together, we were all full and decided to go to DFO together. so fun laaaa~ i bought so much stuff i am afraid the eftpos card would caught fire. HAHAHA. that's a joke of course if you didn't notice. we stayed there until 5 plus. shierlla from poj also came to join us. she appeared in her school uniform. all so purple. i think anzela and walla were so shocked to see her. didn't expect that she would come in her uniform. hahaha. terus before we went back home, we passed by Safeway to get chips for our movie night and bread top for breakfast meal. the start of holiday

it is the start of holidays!!!
today is the 4th day.

the feel of being free is just indescribable and not explanatory!
i am able to sleep late into the nights (up to twelve hours),
clean my house (finally getting into organized mood),
washed all my clothes (i am left with no more clean clothes to wear),
iron them (used to wear crumpled clothes),
go shopping (retail therapy),
explore the suburbs (been wanting to do this ages ago),
watch lots of movies online (thanks to recommendation from Anzela),
go online and chat whenever i feel like it (but my family is not always online),
party and play all i want, etc.

i was one of those who finished early. many of my friends will have their last exam on monday, if not friday. my housemate will be having her last exam on friday. so basically, she still have to study late into the night while i throw all my textbooks and worksheets already. haha! see the contrast? but unfortunately, my housemate is not that kind of people. even though she still has got exams, she places priority on baking and stuff, watching her idols' drama and variety shows, cooking, etc. well, she does every other stuff except study.

so what have i done so far???
on tuesday after my chemistry paper, i went home and took a very short nap. it was supposed to be longer than that. when i got home, my housemate asked me to accompany her to the market to buy some food. our house had been going empty for quite some time already. perhaps of exam stress. so we took about an hour in the market. got 2 pieces of sashimi, vegetables and fruits. we usually have sashimi in the afternoon when we are lazy to cook. i tell you... it's so easy to make. just steamed rice, buy seaweed and cut the sashimi into thin slices. and presto! you made yourself a meal! like the indo saying, 'Murah Tapi Meriah'. went back home. she told me to cook the rice. finished cooking the rice. went upstairs to go online. in the end, Sally chatted with me about our plan to buy for our dear friend Valerie a watch and stuffs for her surprise party. in the end, we chatted for like 15 minutes. in the end, it was already 2.30pm and i was supposed meet Sally at 4pm. haven't bathed too. argh that means i will only have an hour to rest? why are things not the way i want it to be??? so i woke up at 3.30pm and showered. rushed to eat the sashimi with rice and seaweed and met Sally downstairs of Arrow. we took a tram to Reject Shop and shopped for candles, balloons, pump, happy birthday banner... then we walked over to Myers and David Jones to search for the perfect watch for Valerie. guess how much it cost? AUD$189! Valerie is one of those lucky girls is all that i can say... then we bought a cake for her at Bread Top and a gigantic card at Newsagent. the card is super cute i think. i hope she likes it too. after that, Sally and i went to Grattan House where Sal and Val live at. just according to the plan, Valerie was at the library with Fiona til late at night. so we made use of the time to pump the balloon and put the cake into the fridge. then Sal and i left to go eat dinner with our church friends at Nelayan. we were going to watch Sex and the City but unfortunately there was no more seats available. so we had to watch The Incredible Hulk instead at 9.40pm. while we waited, we talked and i learnt so much stuffs about tampons. all thanks to Sally. the movie was great! definitely not as bad as what i expected. it was so much fun! (= especially watching it with Jey, Shierlla, Airlyn, Pamela, Sharon, Sally and Stefanie. thanks for that night girls! so after which, half of us went back home while others came to Grattan House. this time, Sally and i had to do everything super quietly since Valerie was at home already. haha! it was so cute. everyone was tiptoeing about. throwing the balloons from Sal's room to the living room. we took out the cake from the fridge and placed 20 candles on the cake. soon, many others from church came. altogether there must have been 15 or more of us from church and trinity college last year. unfortunately, tahnee wasn't there to join us. anyway, denny, irwan, ko rio, ko andy, marvin, ko bq, zi ying came. when the clock struck midnight, all of us quietly came into the house, and gathered in the middle room area. the light was switched off and we knocked on valerie's door. when she opened it, she was smiling already. i guess she was already expecting us to come. haha. but tough luck val. a few of her housemates and i dragged valerie across to the living room area. we forced her onto the chair and we tied her to it with a skipping rope. meanwhile, her housemates applied face paint on her face and a wig for her hair. she looked so horribleee. hahaha! but it was super uber fun!!! (= that celebration was the beginning of my holiday.
i shall continue more tml...

Holiday is finally here!!!

finally... EXAM'S OVER!!! =D
stress free for now.
the morning-til-midnight visits to the library have passed.
hahahahahahaha. i can laugh out loud again!!! (without stressing for exams)
i would like to thank Him for bringing me through the ups and downs of these past few months.
i had some friends who had been, just, so full of worries and hopelessness. it was at this time that He gave me strength to remain positive throughout the entire time. He put so much hope in me that i was able to share them with friends who were sitting for the exams too. and i believed that my friends had all more faith in their exams all because of His word and promise.
shall continue blogging tomorrow...gtg ^^

Exam Period

OH GOSH!
the last time i blogged was on 26th April?
this blog was indeed rotting... but here i am now saving it from neglect.
hohoho. hmm what did i do today...
but of course! i had my calculus exam earlier this morning. actually yesterday morning (now that it's past midnight).
overall, i feel that the paper was straight-forward, but thanks to my last-minute revision, i left many questions unanswered/blank. sigh~ so much for my semester 1 results.
few days ago, i also had my Accounting and Biology papers. Acctg's horrible! i didn't manage to do it smoothly, just like Calculus actually. However, Bio is pretty much straight forward. either i did read about it and able to answer or didn't read at all and wasn't able to get the answer right. anyway, overall the exam's been full of regrets. wishful thinking that the school will give me another week more to study for the exams keep appearing inside my thoughts... but i know it will never happen. no such luck!
oh and for the past one week, i had been going to Ballieu (UoM Art's Library) to study from 9am-12am midnight. i am living a geeky and total nerdy lifestyle now. seriously. i am 'retarded' in my socialising skills...
blablabla...
it just gets worse...
anyway, it as Eric's B'day yesterday!!! CONGRATS!!! HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY BROTHER!!!
i called him and they said that they were going to eat in this apparently new and nice restaurant. huh. i have been missing out non-stop on my family events. it's like when i am having holiday, they're schooling, or the other way round. haix. sometimes holiday takes forever...but school starts again in a blink. it's always like that. when you don't want it to come, it comes. when you want it to come, it doesn't come.
"LIFE's like this."
alright. i shan't further elaborate on my unhappiness this few weeks going. gotta get some sleep now. tomorrow have to wake up early to study in the library!
(see...i am becoming or has become a geek now. i do feel a bit of excitement going to the library to study. shuts.)

the loooooooooong w.e.!

i'd been through so many tests, practicals and assignments for the last couple of weeks. been longing to type in here for ages....but just couldn't find the time to do it. for now, i am actually supposed to revise my bio, accounting, calculus but what am i doing now? taking a break. in between of breaks. so actually it's become a long, long break? anyway i had a long long week especially this time. monday was usual, tuesday was long. from 9 am to 5 pm. then wednesday from 9 am to 8 pm. thanks to Quickbook seminar. which i didn't understand at all. on thursday, i had practical session again so i ended at like 5 pm again. then yesterday was the most tiresome day of the week.

fui han and i went to Chadstone. once i got up from bed, i went to the gym for an hour and met azmina there. after i came back and bathed, we took a tram to melbourne central. it was pretty sunny that time so i was glad that i was only wearing very little clothing. we took a train at platform 2 to Oakleigh station. both of us were kinda excited to be able to come to chadstone. finally a day off that we're free!!! (= when we reached the station, we had to wait for Jeff to arrive because we;re meeting up for lunch together. actually i am not particularly close to him, but since fui han insisted on him coming to join us, i had not much choice but to agree. i can already expect that i am the one who's going to entertain him because apparently fui han is a bit scared of him.

anyway, he came like 10 minutes later and we walked silently at first. then fui han and i started chatting, self-entertaining ourselves while he tagged behind. then he led us to the bus stop and i talked some more. fui han was like hiding in my shadow??? dunno what she's doing exactly too. both Jeff and I were like... WHAT YOU DOING?

the bus soon arrived and i sat with Fui Han. soon, we arrived and my first impression of CHadstone is....EEW! WHAT AN UGLY BUILDING! SO PLAIN AND UNAPPEALING! i expected it to be grand and stuff but no! we crossed the road and made it inside the shopping centre. all of a sudden, i felt this deja-vu feeling all over me. then, i realised that this was not my first time going there after all. i had been there with Albert House boys and Xin Yue before! haha! Fui Han doesn't seem to believe me at first when i told her.

first, we circled the first floor and basement for place to settle our lunch at. after some time, we decided to eat at this chinese restaurant. i ordered nasi lemak curry while Fui Han got dumplings. Jeff broke the silence by telling us a joke. so we also told him one. (= at 2.50 pm, Jeff left for his tutorial class and both Fui Han and i set out to do our shopping. window-shopping becomes EFTPOS shopping! XD we went from Cotton On, Just Jeans, Portmans, Jay-Jays, Coles, Hoyts to watch Vantage Point, Toys'R'Us, etc. i spent a total of $300 plus i think. crazy i know! but after this, exam is coming so yeah...it will be a long time that we will be going for this kind of shopping already. the movie began in a suckie way. half of the screen was blocked by a shadow for like 5 minutes and then the show muted at the beginning of the show. overall, the audience wasn't very happy to begin with. the old man behind us actually walked out to tell the maintenance guy. so grateful to him!!! Thinking Excellence!

So happy!!! i get to watch City Harvest Church web live sermon today! it's a good thing that city harvest has an afternoon sunday service! hohoho~ now i can watch the sunday sermons every week! (=

today i learnt from pastor Ye Peng that we should change the way organizations or community affect our lives. in order to have excellence in our thinking, we should also aim towards an excellence attitude and behaviour in life. so here's the necessary change that we should make in order to be an outdo-er in God's eyes.

Old     New
1. Law -> Liberty
2. System -> Service
3. Self centered -> Spirit-centered
4. Legalism -> Love
5. Fear -> Faith
6. Control -> Care /Concern
7. Duty -> Devotion
Evidence found in: Exodus 7:12
8. Getting -> Giving
Evidence found in: 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
9. Explanation -> Example
Evidence found in: John 13:14-15
10. Bondage -> Breakthrough
Evidence found in: John 2

So from now onwards, i must be more loving to others. i want to create the new environment, instead of the old!
I am willing to go the extra mile for others and not just do the obligations!

Be more like Jesus, doing the extra mile for love to others!~*

becoming a WL for the first time!

WOW!

finally after so many months of imagining what that day will be like, it happens last night.

it my turn to lead in worship for oikos a.k.a cell group. i had promised myself that i would do this early this year. but ilona had her turn when i thought i was supposed to. then ci elena said that she would randomly choose us if no one wants to volunteer. so she chose me and then roselyn. wah. i was so excited and nervous at the same time. i couldn't wait choosing songs for the cell group. but again and again, week after week, oikos was stopped for two consecutive weeks since we had Easter Camp briefing and a joined oikos. so last night was the first time that we all had gathered together again as an oikos. it was a heart-warming moment to see all of them again face to face.

i only started deciding on the songs on Wednesday and i printed out the chords and the lyrics. by thursday, i had practiced singing the songs and memorised the lyrics by heart wherever i went. in the toilet, watching the tv, eating, at the gym. at these times, i also prayed that God would help me in leading the worship. i prayed that His mighty name won't be humiliated in front of my friends because of what i'd done. i prayed that the Holy Spirit constantly be with me during the next few days. anoint me with revelations and message to tell my dear friends. and he did!

on friday which was yesterday, i went to the library to photocopy the lyrics. after school, i told Tito that i would meet him at 6.15pm Flinders House. when i arrived, ci elena wasn't home so i called her and she told me to go to one of the library to practice. i was like noooooooooooooooo!!! since Tito hadn't arrived, i just went in with one of the residents and waited at the lobby. soon Ilona called and i told her to go on her own cause i already reached. when i hung up on the phone, ci michelle walked down from the stairs. i was so happy and surprised at the same time. i asked whether anyone was home and whether i could go into her house. she told me that ko bp and marvin were already inside all along. ahhhhhhh~ so i went up and pressed the buzzer. indeed they allowed me in the locked door and soon, Tito arrived with Sheilla. haha! how happy i was that we still had time to practice the songs!

ko BP was kind enough to advice me about leading in worship. i really admire him a big deal cause he's almost like a pastor already! so wise and brother-like. haha. go ko BP! anyway, then Tito tried putting the tunes together for me (match up my pitch) and it was quite hard at first. we couldn't seem to agree on the right one. then ko BP came in, and he played. amazingly it's at the right tune and pitch for me. so Tito followed him and it's coordinated finally! (=

the oikos started with so much pressure and nervousness in Tito and i that i prayed for the two of us so that we could make God proud of what we're doing. ko Rio prayed for the beginning and then he passed it on to me. wah! i felt a bit numbed at first. but i know that the Holy Spirit will guide me so i just surrender myself to Him and led the worship.

i asked everyone to stand up and said some stuff. then Tito began playing the song King of Majesty. i found it hard to get everybody to come into the mood. furthermore, someone rang on the front door so ci elena had to get the door and etc. i could see Tina and the rest turning around to see who's coming and all. Sally even told me that she couldn't feel God's presence and she asked me to do something. well, at first i thought, that's because she's not trying hard enough to feel Him. everyone was not trying hard enough. i felt so sad and angry at the same time that they couldn't gather their hearts together to worship Him. 10 seconds passed and they're still distracted and looking listless. i couldn't wait anymore and it looked like they're not gonna focus on their own. so i said out loud, 'ayo temen2! fokuskan dirimu kepada Tuhan!' then Sally and some of them laughed. (= i tried my very best to get the presence of God coming onto everyone in the room. i shut my eyes and trusted in the Lord even more. that's when He gave me amazing strength and courage to go on with the next song. next was Kaulah Segalanya, i requested for all of them to sit down and calmed our hearts down. i prayed and He put words into my mouth during the prayer. thank You Lord! i would be nothing without Him. i could feel the presence of God sinking upon us during this song. i like the feeling so i started to sing even more courageously and loudly. i even let them to the Free Worship at the end of the song. i didn't expect it to happen. i actually forgot all about it. but it happened! i was so happy and my heart soaring into the sky when we raised our voices up to praise and worship Him. i even spoke in tongues even if i am not sure whether i could do that or not in front of all these people (because some of them couldn't speak in tongues). anyway, i did it. and i am sure that that's what God wants me to do at that time. (=

my testimony:
i have experienced the impossible becoming a possible thing once more. it felt really awesome especially if what i had done has glorified the Lord even more. wow! now i know what Gracia had been feeling all these while. she even led the worship in Easter Camp in front of the church. power! i want to do that too one day. one day! (= and i know the Lord will once again lead me. hallelujah Lord!

anyways, ci elena said that i did a great job in becoming a WL. everyone agreed and they applauded for my effort. Tito shouted 'encore encore' when ci elena praised me and he was also praised for him playing the song. (= i am glad that this has become successful and i thank Mummy for praying and supporting me all these while. most of all, i thank Him that he had made all this possible. Hallelujah!

Woman died in strong wind in Victoria

OMGosh! i think Melbourne weather is disgusting. i am starting to 'hate' it so.

i was scanning through 'The Age' online news, when something caught my eyes. at 8pm or so, a woman was reported to have died, crashed under a falling wall that was obviously the wind's fault! poor woman!!! grrr! also while i was walking home today, i also noticed that the sky above was super polluted. not with carbon monoxide (or something as toxic as that...anyways) but with dust! the sky was all brown and hazy. this is the first time that i'd seen such horrible weather. i even had to close my eyes (to prevent the dust from getting into my eyes) when walking to the campus. grrr. i really hate this weather. and it's also getting colder every week. tml it will be min 9 deg - 17 deg. i think i'm gonna take the tram again in the morning. free ride! hehe.

First Aid - Day 1

i had my first day of First Aid course today. it was provided by the Australian Red Cross Society. i had to follow others who were going to the location since i did not know how to get there. i almost woke up late today if not for Shafiq, my lovely neighbour. he came knocking at 7.44am on our front door. i jolted out of my bed and my eyes were still half-open. when i opened the door, the sight of Shafiq made me realise that i was going to be late for the course! so then i thanked him for waking me up and quickly got ready to go down and meet them. i called Anzela up and she had just finished her shower. hurhur. i didn't even have time to bathe...

when i reached the ground floor, there were just Shafiq and Sharul. So we waited til Anzela arrived and then left Arrow. at the same time, we also met the Malaysian girls. 4 of them who are staying on our floor as well. they are all friendly it seems and they have this compact-looking body. so even if they're older than me, they looked as if they're smaller and therefore younger than me. =.= how weird appearance can seem!

anyway, we chatted as we walked towards Villers Street. i got to know more about them and they too got to know more about me and Anzela. they each introduced to me their names but i kinda forgot most of them. err... can't blame my poor memory capabilities...

i felt so relieved when i saw many more of familiar faces from Arrow. such as Faris. then i got attracted by the hot chocolate machine as well. haha. can't help since i hadn't had any food yet in the morning. i took a few sips in and then...it was time for us to enter the room and begin the course.

our trainer's name was Kath. she began by introducing to us her history of profession. she'd been a volunteer for the RC for 15 years and so she'd decided to become a professional trainer for future first-aiders. she's been at it for 7 years now. pretty long yeah? she first began by telling us the definition of first aid. overall, the course had been mostly interactive session (whereby the trainer asked us questions for us to attempt and then told us the right answer at the end). in a way, the course was very interesting even though it was intensive. however, we could only last for 2 hours at most without yawning in the session. we kept taking breaks in between to move ourselves about so as to not fall asleep later on. to my surprise, the hot chocolate was not effective at all because during the first session, my stomach was grumbling so badly until Kevin who's beside me laughed. hurhur.

for lunch, Anzela and i walked as quickly as we could to the Royal Melbourne Hospital's cafe amidst the rain. Melbourne has suddenly turned for the worst. today, it was 12 degrees celcius for minimum temperature. brr. it's just the beginning of autumn! gosh. the world is worrying!

the cafe food wasn't as good as we expected. it's considered Asian food but instead of being salty, it's 'soury' instead. haha. so it was kinda weird...but since we were hungry, any food that was good enough was fine. no complaints or anything.

so throughout today's session, we managed to learn how to do CPR, operate the de-fibrillators and treat injuries with the triangular bandages and the rolling bandage. it was great fun! >.<>

whenever i got sleepy, i'd take the 'eclipse' sweets from Anzela. it was already empty at noon. we were feeding ourselves with so much mints all day! XD

i can't wait for tomorrow to come. but i will have to miss church. hurhur. no fun! and the next day, school will start again. busy busy busy with datelines!

ARGH!!!~

Jendela Rumah Sakit

Setiap hari mereka saling bercakap-cakap selama berjam-jam.

Mighty Lion!

before we had dinner, we were asked to make a group name for ourselves and a group cheer. that day, the Mighty Lions were created! *lion king song* was our cheer! =D we had fun making it. ci conny really made the boys do silly moves. haha. i think we did a pretty good job since all of us were bold enough to perform in front of everybody else in the hall. and then after that, we had dinner. we had aussie food. pretty unusual. we missed asian food so much and then red jelly and ice-cream for dessert. we had our first session that night and pastor jani prayed for us, mostly about the vision that God has prepared for us. he told us all to stand at the front so that he could pray for us. however, i waited until my leg ached. so after about 20 minutes of waiting for pastor to come and lay hands on me, i went back to my seat and rested. pastor jani spoke to Valerie, but not to me. hmm. still have two days more so i was not worried or anything when i went back to the bunk to sleep.

i was woken up by the girls returning back from the hall. it was very late at night already and they're still making a lot of noise. the only question that they kept repeating was 'Kalau Bu Joko Cantik, Cantik gak Bu Joko?' and when someone answered them, they would laugh so loudly.

in the morning, Sally told me that i talked in my sleep. it was around 3 am when she woke up to shit. then she heard me talk, 'Teman, jangan. Teman...' it's so weird. =.= when i went to the hall that morning for early breakfast, almost everyone in my cell group and bunk knew about my ngigau and especially Marvin, he kept on teasing me about it. after the breakfast, we had a morning exercise before the team-building activities. i expected the morning exercise to be really tiring and great. but in the end, we did not do any extreme exercising. =.= after that, we gathered in the hall and got into groups. the groups raced to start first, and our team got second. not too bad ey... we got our first clue and solved it. our first stop was with pastor Jani. he had to blow a balloon to burst it. but no matter how big we blew it, it still won't burst. i blew for three times and pastor Jani and ci Lina still told me to blow more. i felt as though my head is bursting. i felt like there's a tremor in my head for a moment and the whole world was spinning. william and davin blew a bit and they used sth to burst the balloon (which was cheating). as for me, mine burst when i was grabbing it at one point in time. seeing the efforts that we were making, pastor Jani gave us permission to proceed to the next level. and of course, we had to find the egg for the clue for the next level. (we had to do this everytime we completed a level) next stop was with Valerie. we had to carry a pail of water off the ground using our legs as a team while singing a indo gospel song. unfortunately, i didn't know the lyrics at all. so i just supported them the whole time. william's leg was trembling so badly because he's holding most of the load on his leg i think. poor him! but well, since my team was very united and cooperative, my team (not boasting) was the fastest amongst the rest.

EASTER CAMP- build a better life now!- 1

just came back from camp. great camp, everyone said. as for me, this camp has been the most spiritual that i'd been to. and since i love this presence of God and company of my brothers and sisters in Christ, i even like it more! like many people who attended the camp, i was blessed tremendously in this camp. i began to realize things that i hadn't noticed yet before.

first day
it was my turn to serve in Joy Kids Ministry and so i missed that Easter Sunday message. it was a pity. however, i still had fun helping out the kids. since Angela didn't want me involved in her activities (as usual), i paid attention to Hayden instead. it was his feeding time (porridge) so i volunteered to feed him rather than feeling useless with Angela. i don't know but i felt that she has become more and more rebellious as she gets older. it's not only me. other people is also getting this treatment from her. huh. but instead of complaining about this further, i rather pray that Angela will open up to me and accept me as a friend to her. yes God, i will not give up on Angela (no matter how irritating she may seem). anyways after the service ended, we had fellowship and oh yah! the baggage! hahahahaha! i should have told you this from the beginning.

since my smallest luggage was pretty big (i only filled 3/4 of it) and i couldn't possibly fit and carry the luggage onto the tram doors, i had to drag that thing a looooooooooooooooooooong way from Swaston Street to Flinders Street. it's about 3000 over steps, i think. i almost stumbled numerous amount of people while dragging the luggage across to church. my leg ached when i arrived at Victoria Uni. sobbb. but it's all worth it for Jesus Christ! =D i arrived super early and ci Merry and Stanley were so shocked to see the size of the luggage. they said that i am going for a trip to singapore for few days. =X then, soon came Sally and Valerie and others (Arrow people). i helped the two of them buy sushi for breakfast since they hadn't had the time to do so because they're ushering that day. them, i went in for PW.

after the service, we ate at Kim-Chi Tray. i ate beef bulgogi. pastor Jani (pastor from Jkt) sat diagonally to my left. so i got to know him while eating. ko Iwan introduced me to him too. i feel so afraid of him at first because i heard from Valerie that he can look into your past and so on. so i took a cautious approach towards him. well, i've always been cautious. then we went back to church and waited for our bus to come. while waiting, i listened to my iPod and did sudoko from the newspaper. after an hour of waiting, the bus came and people at the back were so happening. they were laughing and such. i was sitting at the front and so it's hard for me to join in the fun. i slept almost throughout the entire thing. zzz when we arrived at Lylebird Campsite, i was in awe of the place. it really is a campsite! i bet in singapore there's nothing like this one. it was really built on wood and timber. it was amazingly structured altogether. and the place was so clean. after everyone had settled down in the hall, ko Robert assigned us all to our own individual room/barrack. ^^ i was put together with majority of the girls. so i was quite pleased with the arrangement. then we had the introduction to the camp, ko Iwan prayed and Sally and Valerie began their instructions for us. we were grouped into 4 groups. in my group there was Nadia, ko Andy, Davin, Irene, Raymond, Conny, William and Filia. none of them i was particularly close with. but that's the whole point of this camp- to know more people in POJ. so i understood and accepted it. at first, i thought we are doomed to lose because we were quite different people. each and every one of us had a unique characteristic displayed throughout this camp. i think that was what brings us together in a united way throughout the entire camp. (to be cont'd)

send me home?

do you know how much i dun get accounting at all??? it's so pathetic. i think i better attend the support class or sth. anzel told me that ARA and ATA have the highest rate of students failing for the subject. argh! no way i want to fail!~ so i am gonna try my very best to clarify all my doubts during tutes and classes. yes. i have to. no other choice. it's all up to me now.

i met him again today before Calculus lect. he's so charming. metta agreed that he's cute too. interesting person, she said.... but, of course. ^^ i am happy that we can at least chat even though it's only for a minute or seconds. the sight of him makes me happy! hehe. i hope we can still be friends for the next few years.

ohhh... and i am recently into this song:

Singer: Taylor Swift
Song: Our Song

I was riding shotgun
With my hair undone
In the front seat of his car
He's got a one-hand feel on the
steering wheel
The other on my heart
I look around
Turn the radio down
He says, "Baby, is somethin' wrong?"
I say, "Nothin'
I was just thinkin'
How we don't have a song..."
And he says

(CHORUS):
"Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late
Tappin' on your window
When we're on the phone
and you talk reeeeal slow
'Cuz it's late and your mama don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
The first date, 'man, I didn't kiss her and I should have'"
Then when I got home
'Fore I said amen
Askin' God if he
Could play it again.

I was walkin' up the front porch steps
After everything that day
Had gone all wrong
Been trampled on,
lost, and thrown away
Got to the hallway
Well on my way
To my lovin' bed
I almost didn't notice all the
roses
And the note that said

(CHORUS):
"Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late
Tappin' on your window
When we're on the phone
and you talk reeeeal slow
'Cuz it's late and your mama don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
The first date, 'man, I didn't kiss her and I should have'"
Then when I got home
'Fore I said amen
Askin' God if he
Could play it again.

Dah dah dah dah...

I've heard every album,
listened to the radio
Waited for something to come along
That was as good as our song...

'Cuz our song is the slammin' screen doors
Sneakin' out late tappin' on
His
Win-dow
When we're on the phone and he talks real slow!
'Cuz it's late and his mama don't know
Our song is when he laughs
The first date 'man I didn't kiss him and I should have'
Then when I got home
'Fore I said Amen
Askin' God if he
Could play it again..

Play it agaaaaain ohh oh ohhhhh
Heh-heh

I was ridin' shotgun
With my hair undone
In the front seat of his
Car.
I grabbed a pen and an old napkin
And I...
...wrote down our song...

it's so nice!!! i want to have this kind of ro-man-tic things in my lifeeeeee! but, when is it???

actually this year is the year that i should consider having a boyfriend. but i won't ask for much now. God knows now is not the right time.

today after my accounting tutorial, this china guy actually offered to send me home by his car. i was like numbed for a sec. then i was totally knocked off my head and said that it's alright. woah! that was freaking fast. sweet in a scary way. it's like i just knew him for an hour and he was doing this already? dodgy guy. but he's a nice guy, i think. Chinese, but speaks good English. haiz. i also wantttttt~ =.=

the most amazing dream

i had the most beautiful dream in my whole life.

it was winter and snowing heavily outside. i was with my friend and this guy (whom i had no idea who) was standing beside me. he was tall and masculine. anyway, everyone was walking so fast so that they can get home and stay in the warmth of their fireplace. both my friend (forgot who) and i were on our way to somewhere, i think. we were trembling reaaaal bad. when i was on the verge of freezing, all of a sudden, the man reached out for my right hand and held it close to his heart. almost instantly, i felt a surge of warmth all over me. i felt so happy and comfortable with him. it's like we belong together. and then, we both smiled as we both crossed the road.

after that, i woke up and realized that it's all been a dream.

but come to think of it, i have the strangest idea that the man is God. WOW!

what an amazing dream! (=

A Letter From God

Have you guys watched 'Patch Adams' before?

If not, you just missed one of the most inspirational movies in the world.

Especially if you have interest in becoming a doctor, this movie really strengthen your passion even more. (well, that is, if you have the passion.)

Here's some thing that the movie teaches us:
~Never focus on the problem.
~See what no one else sees.
~See what everyone chooses not to see, out of fear, confirmity and laziness.
~See the whole world anew each day.

Does this inspire you enough to do something with your lives? It sure does for me.

Also, i read this church devotion from last Sunday out of boredom, to be honest. Then this story caught my eye. However, I am sorry to say that it's all Bahasa Indonesia. I would very much love to translate it for those who don't understand. But it's too long a story and I really wanna post this up so that more people will know about how good our God is. I am going to type the super duper long story out with my own hands so please read it!

A Letter from God

Kemudian Aku melihat engkau menggerakan kakimu.

Semoga harimu menyenangkan.

Bapamu,
ALLAH

i hope that all of us will benefit from reading this wonderful message from God.

p.s. he added me as a friend on facebook today. so happy. (=

Great Ocean Road trip!

IDP is cool!!! they organised a Great Ocean Road trip today for Melbourne international students who are registered under them for a cheap rate of $20 (light lunch and refreshments given). xin yue, fui han and i signed up for it last week. so i got up at 6.30am today and dressed for the 4 seasons- weather. met xin yue along Lonsdale Street and i was surprised to see so many international students gathering in front of the IDP office. i was still so sleepy then and lazy to go for the trip. then soon, Florence and Ada appeared! wow. more trinity people. that was unexpected.

the bus arrived soon after and it took us long to get up on the coach. you know what they made us do? each and every one of us had to tick our name first from the list before boarding the coach. so we ended up leaving the place at 9am instead of the targeted time of 8.30am.

before we reached our destination, we stopped by many resting areas. many of the names that i've forgotten. but i still remembered that by the time we reached the Twelve Apostles, it was already 4pm plus. the weather was quite bad (no wind at all), so there was a thin layer of mist around the bottom of the "apostles". therefore, the pictures that we took together with 'them' weren't very fantastic either. well, so much for $20! i think overall, we had gotten more than enough already for the trip.

we not only visited Great Ocean Road, we also saw many places that i didn't know existed in Melbourne. i learn more about the suburbs around Melbourne. like Geelong where Tony, my Maths 2 lecturer and tutor and mentor, stays at and probably enjoying his retirement there now. our 'driver', Brendon, told us that Geelong is the second largest city in Melb besides the city itself. we did not make any stop there but i generally get the idea how BIG Geelong is. interesting place to live in, i supposed and pretty laid back too. (= just like Tony! hehe.

the driver brought us to Torquay, Apollo Bay... i bought ice-cream Rum&Raisin at this particular 'Food Court' for $3.50. it melted like crazy since the weather was warm. then, we also rested at many coastal places. so throughout the entire day, what we see is water water water! the ocean! we also saw many furry dogs around. so much more than in the city. i saw this particular Huski dog! SUPER CUTE! i was tailing behind it and its owner and finally managed to take a picture of its face when the owner stopped by for a while to get something from a shop i think. i could see that wherever the dog went, everyone would turn their heads around to admire it. (= but i pity the dog cause the weather's hot and it has got such a thick fur over it.

overall, it's a good trip. a great one actually. i got to relax and ease my stressed and tired mind away from school. i felt like the ocean had taken my worries and fears away. i felt so much lighter now. so i didn't regret going for this trip afterall, even though i missed AGM last night that my church organised. the best part of the trip was the camwhoring! =D i am going to post the pictures up tomorrow i think (if i'm not going for that mumba festival). i hope Xin Yue, Fui Han, Florence and Ada did too on their facebook! hehe.

i can't wait for the next time i will be going for any road trip again~
(although i got car-sick halfway the journey today)
