ADELAIDE
on Monday, it's crazy. i still hadn't booked my hotel yet and withdraw money out from the bacnk so that i could use some at Adelaide. (duh. shopping man!) so, i went to the STA travel @ Union House to ask one of the staff to help me reserve a hotel @ Majestic Roof Garden. but he told me that everything was fully booked. when i heard this, i was shocked and my heart panicked. HOW HOW HOW?!? don't tell me i really have to sleep under the bridge, like Tito said if he couldn't get a place to stay there??? (besides me, Tito, Chris, Nathalie and Bao went to Adelaide too. but some of us were on different dates. nathalie's date is the same as mine.) so after school while i was having my drama meeting @ computer lab Swanston, i called Majestic Roof Garden to make a hotel reservation. the receiver told me that all the executives were fully-booked, only left the business suites. upon hearing this, i immediately said yes w/o thinking. ckckck. boros nih mary. tapi ngak papa lah ya.. kan cuma buat 1 malam doank. hehe...
on Tuesday after my Maths 1 lecture, i hurried back home. i felt really scared and excited at the same time. i cannot imagine myself going to Adelaide by my own. luckily Nathalie will be flying together with the same flight. this is honestly first time for me. i am so afraid of being lonely at a place which i am not familiar with. i would never know what i am going to do there. Jon came over to my place to help xiaohui do her laundry and then pack her bed a bit. after that, i went to his place to make a StarBus booking through his internet. then at around 6pm, he helped me with my luggage down to wait for the bus. along the way out of Arrow, i met my Trinity friends and they all wondered seeing me with the luggage. haha! so funny to see their faces. anyway, then i received an SMS from Qantas, texting that the flight will be delayed. so then, jon and i went up to the house again and spent an hour re-booking StarBus. everything is really in a mess. i couldn't think properly. i felt really lucky to have jon accompanying me that evening. it was really nice of him.
i am not alone after all throughout my entire trip. i met Nathalie, her dad and brother at the waiting area. i was reading a National Geographic journal (i bought at the bookstore so that i won't feel bored) before i was distracted by the children running around in front of me. especially this particular china toddler. he was super cute! Although he was still a 'baby', he could run even faster than a 4 year old. seriously, i was shocked at how good he was with his legs. he was so cute too, always wanting to chase after two girls from Mexico? not sure.well, he sure is cheeky. a small flirt! haha. soon it was time for us to board the plane. that was when Nathalie and her family came. i felt so happy to see her. her father was a man of few words, especially her brother. if i didn't say hi to him first, i doubt he would. his name's Benjamin and he looked differently than Nathalie.
