ADELAIDE 2

on the plane, a handsome Asian guy sat beside me. i actually wanted to make a conversation with him. but looking at him read his papers with much concentration, i decided not to disturb or not. so i continued reading my National Geographic stories. honestly speaking, the stories that is inside are pretty boring to me but since i got nothing else better to do, i had no choice but to read. i so regretted not sitting beside Nathalie when she asked me to. haix.
the flight was only an hour plus long. so i don't have enough time to sleep with the dinner thing and all. so when i walked out of the plane, my mind was dozing off. i wasn't really focusing much on the interior of Adelaide Airport. all i can describe to you is that it's very plain.
Nathalie's dad offered to send me to my hotel. it was really nice of him. during the ride to the hotel, he chatted with the taxi driver. interesting facts about the taxi driver: he was a refugee and has been living in Adelaide since then. we also learnt many facts about Adelaide from him: Adelaide and Cranberra are the only two cities that are planned by the government. along the way to the hotel, he showed us interesting places like the Adelaide Museum, Art Gallery and the lake, not to forget, also University of Adelaide. taking account into these places, my adventure in Adelaide begins!
at last, the taxi halted in front of Majestic Roof Garden Hotel. i checked in at the reception and a Malay guy served me. looking at my passport, he asked whether i was Indonesian. afterwhich i made the payment by cash, including the cash bond. my room was on the 5th floor #512. it was a suite and thus the room was enormous! the toilet's huge! there's even a balcony for the clothes to dry at. it was such a pity that by the next morning 11am, i would have to check out already. i took many shots of the room and myself. hehe. i felt really excited to be living in my own hotel room. it sure was a lifetime experience. in future, this might not have happened anymore. so i unpacked my luggage and prepared the clothes that i would wear for the interview in the morning. then i rested for the day. a long day it had been!
in the morning, i got up @ 9am and took a bath. brushed my teeth and brewed myself a cup of breakfast tea. also, i ate some gummies and that's all i had for breakfast. then, i packed my luggage for checkout. this was when i had to train myself for future packing. most importantly, i cannot forget to bring anymore things. because once i leave it in that room, i cannot take it back. pack carefully! and hey, i did it! i didn't leave a single stuff behind, except for my hairband i guess. oh well. i guess it was time for it to go. just kidding. before i left the hotel room, i sneaked all the shower products into my luggage and then closed the door behind me.
when the two hotel receptionists came back from inspecting my room, one had a smile on his face. suddenly i felt a sense of guilt within me. were they laughing because they found out about me taking away all of their shower products? oops.
i left my luggage at the reception before walking towards University of Adelaide. so i didn't have to drag it along with me if i were to shop around the city.

(to be cont'd)
