my sister is sleeepinggg!
i looked nice that night!had a family photo session at jakarta. wedding anniversary of a distant relative too.
it's been a long long time since i last blogged. and it feels so greatt be able to type on this keyboard again. so much had happened during my went-away. not to worry, i will feel you up on the details in a while.
but before that, i would like to blog about an experience i had today, at the airport, with a police officer. thinking about it now, the memory still hurt me, quite deeply. at first, this whole trip seemed to be so pleasant and fun. i received a lot of attention from my friends' mothers. they asked me a lot of questions. where's your mum? you going back, just with your siblings? well, to tell you the truth, i quite enjoy being concerned by others. not that i'm any attention seeker or anything. but it so happens that when i smiled at them earlier on at the immigration queue area, the conversation started. last time i used to pretend like i didn't see them or something. and i then knew that that is wrong. so i learnt to smile at people whom i know or my mum knows. well, that's basic courtesy, right? anyway, smiling will also mean that you are a friendly person too. so why not? no loss. i don't like to be the type of person who held their noses up towards the sky, when they saw their acquintances. so proud like a peacock. and since we are fellow human beings, eventually brothers and sisters in christ, we should learn to treat everyone nicely. come to think of it, that's one way world peace can be achieved.
so coming back to the main topic. there was a baggage check conducted at the exit hallway. most of us had to go through it. while a minority of us was spared from it. those, i would say, were the very very lucky people. while the rest of them, including me and my siblings, were the very very unlucky people. why was that? because they did not have to waste their time, having their luggage checked. and also having your stuffs turned over and upside down.
even though my sister and i escaped the check like many others- smart ones, in the end we still had to undergo it. know why? because my brother did not escape the check and was caught for bringing bubble gum and pirated DVDs by the officer. he was so close to escaping! just a cm away. he said he was about to follow us both to the exit, when the officer tapped him on his shoulder. tough luck! and so we were the only one left at the airport. thanks to the idiot black officer! he even called me and my sister towards him. at first, my sister thought that he was a pervert, because all the time he was lurking at us from inside. after we learn the truth, it made sense that he was suspecting us from the beginning. from the moment lyn and i turned our back towards him, in our means to avoid eye contact with the, who we thought was a 'pervert'. in his point of view, he suspected that we were criminals and that we were afraid of the look of a police officer. outside, we had waited for a long time til my patience could not wait any longer. so we were cursing the officer. so as we approached him when we got called, he showed the 'illegal stuffs' from all and began his interrogation. he began with, 'why do you hide all the discs in the puzzle box?' huh? sorry. i didn't!!!! *offended* it was because there was a lot of space inside the box. so as to save space, i thought of letting it contain those discs. so, his tone of language offended me. that's when i started arguing back at him. i argued why this is our first time and that he should let us off. hate him! hate him! hate him! his eyeballs melotot til they seemed to be popping out of their sockets. so fat like a pig! grrr!!!! thankfully we got back our discs in the end. the senior officer in the office, he forgave us. HAHA! i won! XD
so on the way home in the taxi, eric and me argued about who's right and wrong. of course, even though i was wrong, i still argued that i was right. and i even told him that i was proud of arguing with the officer earlier on. i said that it's because of his first impression that made me angry with the officer. he better watch his tone, man! be careful! i will remember you always! but don't worry. never in a good way! unless a miracle happens! if not, then wait long long!
been to jakarta. had a family photo session. it was very classy. the make-up artists were professionals, i think. at least better that those at padang. we also rented their gown. it was in a snow-white style. except that it's not white. but gold and black. we also had a casual style picture. white shirt and jeans. i think the pictures would come out great. that it would be the best pictures we'd ever taken! can't wait for them!! which would be ready soon! then at night, on the same day, we attended ce fen2's grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. it was not as big as akong and ama's but it's still fun. i even got to see sen2 and wei2 dancing hip hop. super cool! although it's a bit fast. but it's the spectacular bit of the party. all of us cousins sat around a table, together. we had fun! really. some events were funny. like erica and adeline playing around with the coloured paper pieces. it's pretty embarrassing. they should be sitting at their table, eating their dinner, and not playing with the dirty bits. another funny thing is that many coloured paper bits had fallen on the bride's hair. and no one noticed it, except the bridegroom. so in the end, he was the one that remove every bit of it off her hair. and the funny thing is, the camera man focused on them.
at padang, i ate a lot! i tried to resist. but many a times, i failed. so it's not surprising if i gained weight in this holiday. hopefully, it had not increased by a lot. *fingers crossed* while mami's gone, papi's looking miserable. mami was not there to accompany him talk, and laugh. we were busy among ourselves. and i couldn't imagine what he's doing right now. not with even one of us there, to eat with him and sleep with him. i pity dad! but he's coming on the 4th of january! but maybe it's good for him to just stay at padang. because he said that when he comes to singapore, he would feel very stress over the water bills, electric bills and also of lyn and me. we always go home late last time. and when mami got worried, he would too. so it's a bit of a toture for him to come stay with us. pity him again! )= sorry!!! dad is always nice! yesterday, he helped us a great deal. he bought us nasi goreng and bee hoon si pong, plus Pizza Hut. we thought he would not help but he did. and we were touched in the heart by what he'd done. well done, dad! (=
oh... and, HAPPY BELATED 18th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY to papi and mami!!!
Stay Happy forever!
with love,
your daughter- mary
